Dental Bonding in Chandler: Ultra-Conservative Cosmetic Restorations
Bonding is an ideal option if you need a solution that is both cosmetic and restorative. Bonding entails placing composite resin material on the surface of a damaged tooth and hardening it with ultraviolet light to restore both form and function to the tooth. Since the resin is enamel-colored and moldable before hardening, your dentist will ensure it looks natural.

FAQs
How long does cosmetic bonding last?
Cosmetic bonding typically lasts 5 to 10 years with proper care. Regular dental checkups, good oral hygiene, and avoiding hard foods or habits like nail-biting can help extend the lifespan of your bonding.
How much does teeth bonding cost?
The price of cosmetic bonding depends on factors such as the number of teeth treated, the complexity of the case, and the dentist’s expertise. Larger restorations or reshaping may cost more than small chip repairs.
How many times can a tooth be bonded?
A tooth can be bonded multiple times as long as the natural tooth structure remains healthy. If bonded teeth chip, wear down, or become discolored, your dentist can repair or replace them.
Does insurance cover teeth bonding?
Dental insurance may cover teeth bonding if it’s medically necessary, such as repairing a chipped or decayed tooth. However, bonding done for purely cosmetic reasons, like closing gaps or reshaping, is typically not covered.
What are the disadvantages of dental bonding?
While dental bonding is affordable and effective, it is less durable than veneers or crowns. Bonding can chip, wear down, or stain more easily, meaning it may need touch-ups over time.
What are the alternatives to dental bonding?
The most popular alternatives to dental bonding include porcelain veneers, dental crowns, and tooth-colored fillings. These options offer greater durability and stain resistance compared to bonding.
Do regular dentists do dental bonding?
Yes. Most general dentists offer dental bonding as part of their services. It’s a common procedure used to fix chipped, cracked, or discolored teeth and improve overall smile appearance.
Can dental bonding close a gap in front teeth?
Yes. Dental bonding is a fast and minimally invasive solution. Tooth-colored resin is applied to the teeth to fill the gap, providing a natural-looking smile in just one or two dental visits.
Why is dental bonding so expensive?
Experienced dentists or cosmetic specialists often charge more because they provide superior results, carefully match tooth color, and create a natural-looking smile that lasts longer.
Is teeth bonding like veneers?
No. While both improve the appearance of teeth, dental bonding uses tooth-colored resin applied directly to the tooth, whereas veneers are thin porcelain shells bonded to the front of teeth for a more permanent solution.
What dental problems can cosmetic bonding fix?
Dental bonding is ideal for repairing minor chips and cracks, closing gaps between teeth, improving discolored teeth, reshaping uneven or worn teeth, repairing cavities or decayed teeth, and more.
